very faint whine from one click below max down to about 5 clicks above minimum. I have to put my head next to the computer at a certain angle to hear it. I think that if I hadn't known to look for it, I wouldn't have even noticed.
Hitachi 2TB HDD, no noise to speak of
I have a box with 16 GB of Samsung RAM from OWC ready to be installed. I suppose I should run the factory configuration for a while just to make sure everything works, but it's hard to wait.
I was a little nervous waiting for the computer to arrive, given the various issues reported here. But so far...seems awesome!
