Bookshop!
and it's brilliant. 24" 2.93GHz model with gt 120, 4GB RAM, CTO'd with a 1TB HDD and the proper keyboard (not that crappy miniature thing they have).

It is damn snappy, it's dead quiet even at full bore, even the screen is surprisingly amazing. I'm not a fan of glossy displays, but the colours on this panel are incredibly vivid. Much better than the 20" the shop has on display. Not a single fault with this machine. At all. No dents, no dust, no scratches, no lockups, no graphical glitches, nothing.

I know this thread won't last long, because pessimism is apparently more attractive than optimism, but I felt I had to let readers know there is at least one perfect iMac out there.

Cheers,

Lee

Glad you're enjoying your new machine - I got my iMac in August 2007 when the new design first came out and it still feels like a new machine today. That's is probably the single biggest difference I have found to running a PC. With a PC I always felt compelled to upgrade the hardware to keep up with the latest bloat-ware but with the Mac it just keeps running like the day I bought it!

Enjoy!

It is really good to hear a positive experience. I'm glad that you are enjoying your iMac.
