just got a new and crashy AppleTV 1gen

Hi there,

I just bougt a used AppleTV 1. G with niotv. But it (AppleTV) often crashes, times out and I'm getting a bit tired of it. I think it would be a great idea to re-install the Apple-software/OS and of course hack it afterwards.

Is it possible to do so? Any step-by-step-manual?

for the life of me i could not get the computer to make an atv usb!!

so i went with atv flash and it worked like a charm and it was esier and had nitotv and xbmc and a few other items on it!

haha i just tried atv usb creator again this morning and whada ya know it worked!

i started the program first, then plugged the usb falsh drive in and clicked the little refresh arrows on the lower right side near create using button, it found my drive, and i pressed create using and it went thru with out a hitch! first time in about 3 zagillion tries!

not sure if its worth it to use atvusb though unless you really want to have to use the ssh feature for everything? atv flash was just easier for me
