Just got my apple tv and have set it up. Spent the past few days perfecting my itunes library so everything would appear organized in itunes (e.g. setup my home movies as a tv show for better browsing).

So far it is great, even my wife was impressed and she is not easily impressed by gadgets, she was even skeptical of this one.

Anyway, a couple of questions, if anyone can spare a moment to reply i would appreciate it.

- I am using handbrake on a pc to rip my dvd's and for the most part it is working very well. Just wanted to get peoples advice on sound settings. I have a surround sound system and know that you cannot get true surround, but what settings do people use to get the best sound. So far i have been using: bitrate 160, sample rate 48, audio track automatic, and audio mixdown is not checked. On my receiver i set it to prologic ii and the sound seems ok. Just want to see if anyone has any suggestions on getting a better simulated surround, right now the subwoofer is not used and most of the sound (if not all) is just coming out of the center channel.
- I use photoshop elements 5.0 to organize my photos (i know not many people on here use it but i thought i would try). I tried to stream some of my collections but itunes doesn't seem to recognize the photos in the collections. It lists out the collections on the photo tab but it thinks there are no photos in them (which is definitely not true). A couple of them it showed one photo instead of zero, don't see a pattern though. Has anyone successfully accessed collections from elements 5.0? I am willing to sync also but I couldn't get that working either.

sorry for the long email, any help with either of these would be greatly appreciated!

thanks,
peter
