Update everything. Don't fear the MacRumors Dilemma! *
I'm jealous of you new MBP owners.

I got mine last Friday and I had a ton of updates to run as well. I ran them all and my system is still running great, no problems from any of the updates.
So you *should* be fine. I give that disclaimer because of the .01% chance that something may happen, but im 99.9% confident that you'll be fine.

Just do all the updates, a very small amount of people have problems with them. I've never had a problem with an update.
Congrats Amber. I've been having the same fears over the updates and the screens issues. Also the kernel panics. And my MBP doesn't ship until next week. I'm glad yours is doing so well.
I installed all of the updates on my new MBP that I received today. No problems whatsoever. I was told to just make sure that I had no other applications running when I installed them...
