So I finally got my 24inch Imac.
I've had a 2.2ghz MBP for a week now and it's great, but this Imac is unreal and I will be using it for most of my work. I'm a brand new Mac user so a lot of this stuff is new to me.

A quick question I have is how do I resize pics off of my camera quickly?
Before, on my pc I would just use Microsoft Office Picture manager, which is quite easy, (select what you want, choose the size and hit resize)
I can't find how to do this yet.

Anyways. I'm rambling because I'm happy, so happy.

(notice my pc is still running beside this thing until I fully make the transition.)

You got a MBP a week ago and now a 24" iMac. Good grief.
Good for you!

Anyway to resize quickly I would say import your pics into iPhoto and then you can use the Export command (under file menu) to resize the pictures. Or if you want you can just make a quick selection of your picture and hit the crop button from the bottom bar. There are many methods of doing this (and I'm sure you'll about them).

EDIT: Another quick way is open your picture in "Preview" (its usually the default image program) and under Tools>Change Size.

Thanks, i'll give it a try.

Yeah, the MBP is unreal (especially since I ran the update, again complete newb here when it comes to mac)

I was just fed up with loosing all my work, hours upon hours of photo shop work and music.

I always knew I wanted mac, but just couldn't afford the switch.

I regret not being able to do so sooner.
