Just Got My iMac Core Duo 1.83...Woo Hoo!

Afternoon folks. Just got my iMac, can't wait to get home from work and get it all hooked up and my new RAM installed. I got to get 2 G ram to install tonight.

I was going to get a Mini Core Duo, but a buddy of mine gave me cash for my Powerbook G4 and I was able to get me an iMac.

Sweet. I'm thinking of getting a 20" iMac this feastive season too, though I am keeping my 12" PB. Just out of curiousity, how much did you get for yours?

I gave my buddy a pretty good deal. He said $350 and I said cool. I could have got more on e-bay or something maybe. But he's a good friend, and hes got an old G3 iBook that just busted on him finally.

Great to hear that among iMac owners :D Your iMac will be a very nice improvement from the PB. I went from a 17" G5 iMac to the 20" just because I really don't have the extra room for another screen. Two side by side would be killer (jealous to all those two screen bandits ;) ).
Enjoy and with the RAM maxed it cuts like butter :D
PS...nice desk, wish I had all those drawers, can never have enough.

Yeah, it's an external...it's just tucked up underneath, it isn't really sitting on it...it's the newer technology mini stack v2, 160G, 7200 RPM, got it for $139. Got it from OWC...

Yeah, the desk is sweet. My grandfather made it back in the 30's. He was a carpenter here in DFW for ages. It's amazing...I plan on having it a very long time.
