I just got my new 2.4Ghz SR MBP, and I am having some weird small issues. First of all, iStat is telling me that my Battery Health is at 98%. What gives? Also, whenever I try to use dashboard or expose, it is really laggy and acts like my graphics card can't handle it. If I open and close dashboard about 3 or 4 times, it smooths out. Until I close it and try to open it again even as soon as 5-10 seconds later. Also, the bottom right of my trackpad keeps rising up and I have to push it back down. Finally, I am using Senuti to transfer my music to my new computer, and it crashes about every 5 minutes and I have to keep re-opening it. What should I do? I repaired permissions once already, and it found a few things wrong, but it fixed them too.

Yeah it ran software update as soon as it turned on (and reached the desktop). I'll try a few different things
Did this occur just after you initialized the OSX for the first time, or is it an ongoing problem, ie: several hours later of continuous use the dashboard is still acting like that. OSX runs an indexing program the first time up which takes some time to do and is quiet heavy on the disk I/O channels. That can contribute to an initial slow down in performance but it should clear up after a half hour or so.
And in regards to your track pad rising up.....that is NOT normal, take it back and have looked at or exchanged.

I am used to Dashboard going slow for the first use after initializing OSX, this is normal. But lets say I open it, close it, wait 10 seconds, then open it again, it lags exactly like it does during its first use - except it does it nearly every time. Very strange.
On top of that, when I was given the welcome screen (it says welcome in several languages) the sound was all screwed up and the screen didnt show until about halfway through the video.
Bad Build Quality
A lot of apple computers are of a sub-standard build quality. My MBP had a key that was broken when it was opened. They are quite good about replacing broken parts. At least in London...
However my MBP had no problems with software in the first day. It was in continuous use. Photoshop, Office, Windows etc.

Sounds to me like you should get a replacement. Be sure to mention the opening video/sound issue when you first fired it up. In fact, I would recommend making that your first, and primary, complaint. Then mention the trackpad. If you go in there just talking about dashboard lagging, you'll get the runaround before anything else---and that just makes your job harder by forcing you to be more firm.
