* You are chatting with Eileen D, an Apple Expert

*

Hi, my name is Eileen D. Welcome to Apple!
*

You: Hello, I had a quick question about the iphone purchase process.
*

Eileen D: I hope I can help
*

You: I am currently a Cingular/ATT customer, and just got a new plan in February. I want to purchase the iPhone on the Apple ONLINE store, and was wondering if there would be a problem doing so?
*

You: Would I be able to just move my SIM card into the iPhone?
*

Eileen D: Good question, I would recommend you call AT&T about that. Information hasn't been released on the plans
*

You: Well the plan really shouldnt be the issue. Does the iPhone have a static SIM card, or is it able to be removed? If I can throw my SIM card into the phone, it should work perfectly. I just dont want to stand in line next week ;)
*

Eileen D: All the release specs is on Apple.com on the iPhone tab.
*

Eileen D: I can't wait
*

You: Nothing about the SIM chip.
*

You: I would really like to order it online, but if I cant pop my SIM chip into it, its pretty pointless to do so.
*

Eileen D: We'll know next Friday
*

You: True, but id like to know before the purchase :) Why are they being so secretive ???
*

Eileen D: That's just the way it is. I wish I could answer your questions.
*

You: Well I guess I will just have to see!! I hope there are enough to go around though. They are only going to be sold at Corporate stores right?
*

Eileen D: Me too. Yes it will be at the AppleStore
*

Eileen D: Going to be interesting
*

Eileen D: May I help you with a new Mac today?
*

You: I just bought a mac pro 8 core 2 months ago, you trying to make me broke?!
*

You: :D
*

You: Thank you for your time, have a good day.

Um...this has been covered a million times. SIM tray is mentioned on the iPhone specs page and is located on the top of the phone between the sleep button and the headphone jack. Yes you will just pop a sim in as long as its the 64kbit one
