BTW, it is a great mouse so far. Connecting it to my macbook was quick and easy.

For the mouse. It says you can use one or 2 batteries.

I did not know that. I never read anything about that when I got my BT Mighty Mouse.

To answer your question... you get twice as much battery life.

One battery = lighter mouse.
Two batteries = longer interval between changes.

I use two, myself.
