Hey guys, I finally got the new 27-inch iMac i7.

I got the SSD+HDD setup, but for some reason my OS is installed in the HDD and not in the SSD... Should I just install the OS on my SSD and clear out everything from my HDD?

Thanks.

Oh God... More terrible news... It looks like the Superdrive is either dead or not in the iMac...

I inserted the OS disk and it's stuck in there now... I have no idea how to get it out. Ejecting doesn't work at all...

Need help... Thanks.

Of course go for it...

Install OS and important apps on the SSD like Photoshop etc.

Thanks, I just did. I was wondering though. Will it be safe to delete the OS and stuff from the HDD?

you should be able to hold the "option" key while booting and two boot drives should pop up...

select the SSD drive and confirm it boots properly then once booted to the SSD you can go to disk utility and reformat HDD

tip for nest time: try Carbon Copy Cloner, basically just copies the entire contents of a drive to another. no need to bother doing any reinstalls of your software and OS :)
