Just got the new Apple TV, question.

I had the old Apple TV and that went through iTunes, however, this new Apple TV apparently does not show up in iTunes but you just share everything? Is this right or did I not setup my ATV right?

Turn on Home Sharing in iTunes. It's in the Advanced menu. Then enter the same Apple ID into the Apple TV. You should then see all of your media.

I have the home sharing turned on, and everything is working fine. What I was wondering is, you no longer see the ATV logo in iTunes like you used to with the first generation?

Because there is no reason to see it. With nothing to sync to it, it has no purpose showing up in iTunes.
