Got the phone yesterday and today I jailbroke it. All was fine, then tonight I installed installous and downloaded a few apps.

Then the phone turned off and when trying to turn back on it just had the apple logo with a spinning circle! Nothing I did would get it to come back on. So I did a restore within itunes, which came back with a error (code 14). "Holly molly, I've just totaled a £400 phone!" Not a nice feeling. But I tied the restore again, went in the other room then I heard the glorious sound of it finishing the restore.

Wow, what a scare.

Anyone else had this? Can jailbreaking block the phone from working?

I had the same issue. Man that wasn't amusing! Only for me it didn't restore quickly. I had to use another phone for a couple of days until I successfully restored the phone. I don't know what caused the problem, but it seemed as if the OS itself was damaged because it can't even restart and boot.

stop download cracked programs:D

if it is looping, just rebooting all the time;

unplug the phone from the computer.
connect the sync cable to the phone but do not plug into the computer yet
start itunes
Once itunes is started press and hold the home button on the phone.
with the home button press plug the sync cable into the computer
keep holding the until the phone is recognized, 20 to 40 seconds)
restore as a new phone

Fix the title of your thread. I came in her looking for how a person can get scar from jail breaking. I thought maybe the phone jumped up and attacked you. :D Secondly, you did not get a "scar" from jail breaking. You got a lesson installing pirated apps.
