Varies by person and device. For me, it’s pretty stable with a few bugs/quirks for me every once in a while. Nothing majorly annoying, inconvenient, or disruptive except maybe battery drain, but beta 5 might’ve fixed it. I haven’t had enough time to find out yet.

Pretty stable for me.

I have just installed Beta 5.

On Beta 4 I had the occasional Instagram crash, Keyboard disappearance when sharing a pic on Whatsapp and a very rare re-spring.

It’s not bugs you should be concerned about. It’s your apps.

Only install the beta on a backup device.

iOS 14 doesn’t feel like a beta at all, very polished for beta software.

jump on the beta train, you’re missing out 🚞👌

iOS 14 keeps deleting my playlist after a while. Feedback says more than 10 but beta 5 no fix. Some of mine are curated for favorite songs from specific artists. Damn.

I’ve been lucky I guess - I’ve had it on my iPad Pro since the first public beta with zero substantive issues.

For me IOS 14 has been pretty buggy on my iPhone 11 and my phone randomly restarts at least 5 times a day. Since it is getting close to IOS 14 release date I can deal with it. When the complete IOS 14 is released to the public in September do I just need to remove the IOS 14 configuration profile and then download the complete version of IOS 14 over this public beta version?

Solid advice However, you know that that isn’t going to happen here on MacRumors, where iOS pilots with online simulated flying degrees seek to do tower (read: forum members) flybys to show off their textbook skills using the new iOS 14 engine.

I remember people saying this about the ios13 beta and it ended up being a mess.

I've not really had any major bugs, a few minor frustrations though like keyboard vanishing or some screens (notably Lock Screen) not responding for a few seconds. I seem to remember the iOS13 beta being a bit worse than this but so far iOS14 almost feels like a finished product to me.

There issue with WiFi alone is enough to regret installing it. Was ther in g4 and still there.

WiFi 6 ax router
VPN AdGuard Pro local
Private Network on

I suspect VPN along with new private network setting clashing.

Rears it’s head though only intermittently usually in afternoon when I suspect there’s more traffic.
I have on other days resorted to turning off modem, router.
Turning or switching off WiFi alone or switching between 2.4 and 5.0 sadly isn’t enough.
Also, Airplane mode with WiFi back on
