Just missed out on refurbished Mac Mini M4s

Welp. I noticed a few days ago that Mac Mini M4 models hit the refurb section of the (Canadian) online Apple store (and the U.S. store also)… I hmm’d and haw’d about which configuration to get. Turns out I dawdled for too long, because starting yesterday evening the M4 models started selling out. Ugh.

Is there any reason to think the refurb M4s will be listed again any time soon? Like, in the next couple of weeks? Please give me hope.

The US refurbished stock tends to be replenished in regular waves – sometimes weeks or days. I'm not sure how the Canadian store compares, but I wouldn't feel like patience is futile.

Just regularly check- maybe bookmark the page to make it easy. Once in the morning, once in the evening and you'll probably catch the next batch.

The Canadian refurb store is similar. If the product is still available for sale in the regular retail channel, then the refurbs should come back from time to time, but if it's a good deal then they will often sell out quickly.

However, @FlyingToasterStrudel, since you're in Canada, I would take a look at the education store. Many of the edu deals for M4 are either similarly priced or actually even cheaper than the refurbs, and have the added benefit of NOT being refurbs. Furthermore, many Canadian credit cards will provide extended warranty on edu purchases. Most do not provide extended warranty on refurbs (although some may).

You can go to the Mini page there, but the latest year you'll see is "2023".
