Just noticed Iphone X ,3D touch sensitivity to select text no longer works

when trying to select text using the keyboard seems like the pressure no longer works coming from beta to now official IOS 15 including latest small update. Anyone else owns a iphone X can test this out. I can no longer press harder on keyboard to move text cursor selection

3D Touch is a dead technology. Use the "Haptic Touch way": long press on the Space key to drag around.

This is true on the 8 Plus it doesn't work no pressure I hope they fix it or they killing it off

Apple added the 6S this year for iOS 15 support, which was unusual. Last year they did not support the iPhone 6, so I was really surprised that they include the 6S this year. I suspect that next year the cutoff for iOS 16 will be the iPhone 8.

Why would it be the iPhone 8 when they still have the iPhone 7 to cut off?!

Wrong. Yes, they killed it on newer devices…but it still works on older devices that have the capability. 3D Touch still works on my XS, including on the keyboard. I’m using iOS 15.

@SenorWhyMe, @DaffiDuck: Does 3D Touch still work in other places, like on the app icons? If not, make sure you have it turned on and/or adjust the sensitivity (Settings -> Accessibility -> Touch -> 3D & Haptic Touch).

it’s a glitch it seems it works for a while after restart then goes back to not working

Yes, but they cut off most of the tricks, replacing them by Haptic equivalent. The technology is dead in the way that they aren't developing it anymore and it will soon be completely obsolete.

The 6 was actually dropped in 2019 with iOS 13. iOS 15 is the third update with the 6s as a minimum.
