received my MacBook Pro on wedensday last week, been wating (like many) for months, I was worried it may not fullfill my exagerated expectations.
But oh my god!
This is my first real Mac (my family's first desktop was some kind of mac about 15 years ago), I used exclusively Windows machines and built my current PC from scratch.
The thing "just works" and works fast, faster than the ladden G4s @ uni. OS X is a simply but beautifully designed OS, it contrasts with Windows which is fiddley, annoying and has a mind of its own.
I can't wait to start editing together my first short films - before I used Pinnacle on my PC - the amount of times it crashed was unbelieveable!
I am aware that i'm somewhat waxing lyrical about this machine - cause i'm sure it will piss me off at some stage - but right now I'm very happy I switched, and I think I am now a confirmed life long mac user
