Just ordered a MBP :D

* Processor 065-6991 2.4GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
* Memory 065-6992 2GB 667 DDR2 SDRAM - 2x1GB
* Hard Drive 065-6996 160GB Serial ATA Drive @ 5400
* Optical Drive 065-6998 SuperDrive 8X
* Display 065-7039 MacBook Pro 17-in Hi-Res GL WS
* Modem 065-6999 NO MODEM
* Apple Software - iWork 065-7672 No iWork Preinstalled
* Apple Software - Final Cut Exp 065-7674 No Final Cut Exp Preinstalled
* Apple Software - Aperture 065-7673 No Aperture Preinstalled
* Apple Software - Logic Express 065-7675 No Logic Exp Preinstalled

Cant wait!! Going to order 4gb memory from mac sales.. since apple charges 700 bucks for memory upgrades (what a joke). And probably going to get a 7200 spin HD at some point, if needed. Cant wait!! The 1920x1200 glossy screen looks INSANE!!!

Came to 2704 (not including tax) with my education and iphone rebate :D

Not waiting for the penryn MBP's rumoured for Jan.? .... I'm sitting on the fence but wishing I wasn't.

I am so close to falling off the fence and crumbling and giving in and getting my macbook pro , but i know there must be better one coming soon but if it dont arrive in january - i am not going to wait anymore just go to apple shop and buy it if the order online times are still 2 - 3 weeks

I keep saying to myself even if i ordered it now i would need to wait 3 weeks to get it that makes it nearly end of november so its about then just a month to wait and wilth it being christmas time , time seems to pass so much quicker and before you know it , its new year and only 8 days to wait as i think macworld is 8th of jan

thinking of getting an advent calendar and renaming it macbook pro calendar lol

Another idea is to get a macbook use it for 10 days then say no i dont want it i want the 17" and just get i credit note , that way it promises them i am going to get a machine from apple and would be easier to get them to take it back, and i get to use leopard for 10 days lol

You'd still be on the hook for the 10% restocking fee, right? Just wondering...

That's 2 to 3 weeks before it ships and it ships... I've read elsewhere .... from China, so you might not get it until December let alone by end of November.

yeah about £90 ,its just a temptation to try and get me through the next 2 months of waiting

If i knew for sure that macbook could output to my 26" hd tv and it wont be blurry text and as good as the dell 17" inspiron i am using just now i might even have gone for that but apple it seems only has resolution upto 23" tvs , it sure woudl save me around £800

I do like to video edit as well thats another reason to wait for macbook pro ,but was thinking the 4g of ram should help video editing with the macbook now

when i was at the apple store today the genius told me for what i want the machine to do i need the macbook pro , but how i manage to leave the shop after drooling at they laptops for 2 hrs without purchasing one i will never know
