Just ordered a refurbished i7, 16GB, 395X

I stopped into the Refurbished section of the Apple Store to see what they had available. I found almost the exact computer that I planned to order. The only difference is it has 16GB of RAM instead of 8. The configuration that I wanted would have been $2799.00 This one was $2549.00 (full retail with 16GB is $2999.00). So I saved $250.00, got an extra 8GB of RAM, I'm picking it up at a store in NH so I don't have to pay sales tax ($165) and I get a $75.00 gift card for using my Apple Rewards card. I feel pretty good about this!!! I'll add AppleCare before the 1 year warranty ends.

Thanks to everyone that helped me decide what I needed. I really appreciate your advice!

That is pretty good buying when you throw in the 12 months warranty. With the $250 and $165 and the $75 put it into AppleCare to get the three year warranty.
