Hey guys, I can't believe I'm finally going to have a Mac. :D I've been waiting to switch from PC for a long, long time. And yesterday, I finally ordered a Refurbished iMac.

The specs are:

20" iMac
2.66GHz C2D
2GB DDR3
320GB HDD
nVidia 9400m

I payed $1415 for the iMac ($950), AppleCare ($200), and a Printer($100). I'll receive a rebate for $100 (Free printer), so I would have paid $1315 CAD. Do you guys think that's a good price?

When they come out with a radical change for the iMac, that's when I'll buy a new one.

thats not a bad deal, what revision is the iMac?

I think the new iMac 21.5" would have costed about alittle over 1600$ CAD total with apple care and printer and alittle over 1500 after rebate.

I'm pretty sure it's the one right before the current lineup.

Have any of you ever had issues with refurbished iMacs from Apple?

Congrats on your new toy. I'm hoping to pick up my first ever imac in the next couple of weeks. Waiting for a 21.5 inch refurb to show up. I've also been wondering about peoples refurb experiences. Check out my thread https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/830891/ for some refurb experiences. Enjoy!

I haven't had any issues with my 24" 3.06 that folks with brand new units aren't also experiencing. I also own G5 iMac and Macbook refurbs, both of which have been completely solid and totally problem-free from Day 1!

Thanks. :D And the 21.5" refurbs have actually been on Apple's store for a while. But they go quick, so you have to keep refreshing the page.
