Just Ordered Apple TV, one question about it.

Just order apple tv & a 1TB USB Drive online

Just while I'm waiting for it to come I was just wondering if anyone else uses a USB drive on a laptop and streams ripped DVDs of it to apple TV? and if it works well?

I have a 1TB LaCie drive directly connected to my MacBook as well as another 1TB connected to the Airport Extreme and have both streaming without problem to the AppleTV

I stream from about 5 drives including 1 tb drive no problem at all.

I'm using a desktop, but I'm streaming most of my movies from an external FW drive w/out issue... -TD
