Just ordered macbook air 11"

I gave my old Macbook Air to my granddaughter for college. I order new MBA 11" but I was wondering if you can turn off touch gestures in Lion because my fingers are paralyzed can only use my thumb to tap and scroll.

Yes, you can turn the various touch gestures off on a one-by-one basis in the Trackpad system preference pane in Lion.

Not to hijack the thread but how do you get your pictures to look like that? Mine all show up at the bottom of my posts. Yours looks better. Does it have something to do with Dropbox as you mentioned in your post?

I'm just using the image tags combined with the "Copy Public Link" from my Dropbox public folder.

The screen captures were just done using Shift++4 and then pressing the spacebar which turns the crosshairs into a camera to capture the window (you probably know, but for anywhere else wondering).

I believe the thumbnailing that you described occurs when you use the MacRumors attachment feature.

Wow! This is cool! Sorry to derail this thread further, but where can I find a list of these type of gems? That screen capture key combination is nice!

Right here at MacRumors

• Command-Shift-3: Take a screenshot of the screen, and save it as a file on the desktop
• Command-Shift-4, then select an area: Take a screenshot of an area and save it as a file on the desktop
• Command-Shift-4, then space, then click a window: Take a screenshot of a window and save it as a file on the desktop
• Command-Control-Shift-3: Take a screenshot of the screen, and save it to the clipboard
• Command-Control-Shift-4, then select an area: Take a screenshot of an area and save it to the clipboard
• Command-Control-Shift-4, then space, then click a window: Take a screenshot of a window and save it to the clipboard

In Leopard and later, the following keys can be held down while selecting an area (via Command-Shift-4 or Command-Control-Shift-4):

• Space, to lock the size of the selected region and instead move it when the mouse moves
• Shift, to resize only one edge of the selected region
• Option, to resize the selected region with its center as the anchor point
