Finally after years of wanting one, I bought myself a Mac - MacBook Pro to be exact!

Ordered the 2.2GHz MacBook Pro (upgraded the hard drive from 120GB to 160GB) and a green iPod Nano for a friend (her birthday gift).

The iPod already says its "Prepared for Shipment" while the MBP still reads "Not yet shipped". Any idea on how accurate the "Ships by" and "Delivers by" dates are? Just wondering when I should be expecting it.

Anyway, just thought I'd let the community know that I've started on the road to conversion... any tips that fellow Mac users want to share?

You should get the iPod soon (by Tuesday/Wednesday). As for the laptop, since you have modified it, it will take longer than usual. Expect up to 2-3 weeks for it.

Depends on stock levels for the hard drives etc.

Let me be the first to congratulate you on your first Mac, you're going to love it! From what I've ordered from Apple's Online Store, the "Delivered by" has always been pretty accurate for me. I've never ordered something that didn't ship in 24hours though

Awesome!

Just another quick question - does anybody know Apple's dead pixel policy?

I just got the stock and it took two weeks
