I actually stuck to a plan and it feels very rewarding...I bought my current iBook as a present to myself when I did my first tour in the desert in 2003 with a plan for keeping it three years...as things would worked out I'm now in Baghdad this Christmas and have rewarded myself with the new MB Core Duo 2 exactly three years after I bought the iBook (my first Mac)! It is the standard white, 2.0 with the mini DVI to DVI connector, Magsafe Airline Adapter and Applecare, of course.

I bought it from Powermax and it was actually cheaper than going through Apple because no sales tax in Oregon and because Powermax has 6% off everything today and Saturday. I discovered Powermax when I lived in Portland, OR and they seem to be a very good local business.:D

What will be the easiest method of transferring my 12 GB iTunes collection to the new MB?

Finally Arrived!

After a six week shipping adventure my new MacBook C2D arrived here in Baghdad. The firewire transfer was incredibly easy even for a technology challenged person like me! I love this new MacBook and the transfer process of getting my files from my trusty old iBook to my new MacBook reminded me why I switched 3 years ago...simplicity...it just works! Thanks for all the help from all the MacRumors members over the past three years!:D
