Just picked up a Macbook Pro 2.2 Ghz at my local Apple store with the college discount so i also got a nano and the all in one printer. Being my first Mac it will take alittle getting used to but i think im getting the hang of it.

Also so far i have had no problems with the screen/battery/heat/noise or any of the other issue mentioned by other users. Ill let you guys know if i come acrosse any of the issues.:apple:

Well done mate. Congratulations on your first Mac. Feel free to post any questions you may have about the new OS here, and I'm sure you'll find someone willing to help. In the meantime, just treat it intuitively. I find OSX is set up very well for the user and is very intuitive to use. :)

I got mine at the weekend too! I am so so so so happy with it, it's amazing.

I went for the matte screen in the end, it's so bright and really sharp, I really think glossy is a bit of a false sharpness. I am glad I went for Matte, Contrats to Bernie on the purchase

Congrats on the purchase, I remember about a year ago I bought my MacBook with the same promo as you.

Like mad jew said, if you have any questions don't hesitate to post on these forums as there are some very knowledgeable Apple users here.

Have fun!

Nice one mate, congrats (and to you Rob ;) )

OSX's a great OS and really easy to learn, but try to forget the Windows way of doing things otherwise you'll quickly get frustrated. Enjoy your macs.

Feel free to post any questions you may have about the new OS here, and I'm sure you'll find someone willing to help.

Just make sure to try searching the forums before posting. Over 300,000 threads here, so whatever question you are likely to have has probably already been asked and answered. You don't have to wait for someone to answer, and we don't have another annoying thread to complain about. Everybody wins.

Have fun with your new Mac.
