Went to crucials website and i see they have 2 for 25.99 or 4 other options at the bottom. I know i want to max out my imac at 4GB but i cant see the difference between the 2GB $25.99 and the 4GB kit(2GBx2) $51.99

You want the 4GB kit. All you need to do to install the RAM is remove the panel on the bottom of the iMac's screen by taking out the screw. Then you just simply pull the original two chips out and forcefully place the new sticks in. Just make sure you hear a click sound when you put the new chips in, hence the expression "forcefully".
