So I just purchased a refurbished iMac from the Apple Store yesterday and they just announced iLife '11 today--will I be able to get that upgrade after the fact with a shipping fee or should I just return the iMac and reorder to get it... In other words, will the add the new iLife '11 to refurbished Mac's since it got announced or should I just say screw it all, haha! Thanks y'all!

And if you don't get the right answer the first time, keep calling until someone says yes and arranges to send you vouchers.

If I were to do a return, would I be able to go to a physical Apple Store to issue the return even if I ordered online? I guess that would be more of a hassle so I probably should just bug them for a voucher, haha!

Usually, the return has to be made to the same store (i.e. online store). As I said, give them a call and explain your situation. Tell Apple that it's ridiculous that you have to send it back to get one disc. Maybe you get a nice rep and he'll send you one for free

Fair enough, yeah, I'll just badger them to send me one, haha! I'm expecting the delivery this weekend, so I should be able to call them when it arrives or maybe before that? Thanks again y'all!

You can get iLife '11 for the cost of shipping. Just check the iLife page. If you ordered a Mac (new or refurb) from Apple Online Store 1 October or later, you are eligible

Yes! Great success--Apple does know how to take care of their customers, haha! Thanks for the info!

Guys, and what will happen if I order a new iMac now? Will the new iLife 11 be included? Nothing is stated about that on the website, so I assume it is the case...

Sadly, I'm not. I just got my iMac today (ordered last Tuesday) and that is what I was told.

You got your iMac today meaning that you had ordered it a couple of days ago. I am quite curious to know whether you will get the new iLife'11 suit if you order your iMac now from Apple Store.

On the website, nothing is stated about new macs purchased online. My reason says that new mac will be equipped with the new iLife... but I may be wrong... I just want to order a new Mac without all these unnecessary troubles with sending forms and paying extra money for the new iLife suit.

From the website:

I do not see website says from what point a new Ilife will be included in box with new computer.
