from the Apple Refurbished Mac Store, and it's the most impressive computer that I've ever owned! If it wasn't for the plain white box that it came in, I wouldn't be able to discern it from new. Went ahead and installed some more memory, an eSATA controller card, and a couple of drives setup in a RAID set. I couldn't be happier! :D

I'm a recent Mac convert and I've got to say I'm smitten.

I feel a little like the Borg trying to make converts of my friends and family.

Hooray. My refurbs have come in brown boxes, you are one step up on me :)

Enjoy it. It's well worth it. I also have the eSata card, but no raid yet. Two seperate boot drives though (FCP on one, Avid Media Composer 6 on the other).

My refurb Apple Cinema Display came in a plain brown box, but the MP's was white.

I created a software RAID using Disk Utility. The eSATA controller card will be used to attach an external drive (or RAID mirror) for backup purposes.
