Just Received My Mac Pro (Refurb) . .

from the Apple Refurbished Mac Store, and it's the most impressive computer that I've ever owned! If it wasn't for the plain white box that it came in, I wouldn't be able to discern it from new. Went ahead and installed some more memory, an eSATA controller card, and a couple of drives setup in a RAID set. I couldn't be happier!

I'm a recent Mac convert and I've got to say I'm smitten.

I feel a little like the Borg trying to make converts of my friends and family.

Hooray. My refurbs have come in brown boxes, you are one step up on me

Enjoy it. It's well worth it. I also have the eSata card, but no raid yet. Two seperate boot drives though (FCP on one, Avid Media Composer 6 on the other).

My refurb Apple Cinema Display came in a plain brown box, but the MP's was white.

I created a software RAID using Disk Utility. The eSATA controller card will be used to attach an external drive (or RAID mirror) for backup purposes.
