Have had my iPhone SE for about two years. Held out til the very last minute, I was experiencing short battery life and even throttling. (Was at 84% per iOS, didn't see what diagnostics said.)

Apple almost got me, was considering an upgrade to the Xr or Xs. Then I thought to myself, was I really about to FINANCE a cell phone?

I am running on 12.1.2. Went from 100% battery life at 5pm yesterday to 5% at noon today. 19 Hours. The only issue I had with the phone was eliminated with this battery replacement, and now I know to practice better battery health. (Was using a charger meant for a battery pack, and would leave on charger every night.)

They will say the screen is too small, the internals are outdated, the camera sucks. For me the SE is does everything I want in a form factor that disappears in my pocket. Say what you will, I have gotten absolute value out of my SE. (On a deal from best buy, paid around $150 - $200)

Cheers!

Love my SE, I’ve had it for a couple years now and I fortunately never had any trouble with the battery or throttling. Battery health has me at 94% after 2 and a half years which is honestly fine for me.

If Apple puts out another phone with a similar size to the SE (whether that be basically the same design with updated internals or an “x style” redesign but same physical dimension) I will probably upgrade before the year is up, but if they continue with the larger phones I will ride my SE as far as I can because it has been a great phone for me.

An SE I gifted 18 months ago recently had to have a battery replacement. It seems like Apple batteries aren't lasting as long as they used to. The SE replaced a 5 whose battery bulged. I had to replace the battery in a 6 before 2 years were up. The iPhone 4 I bought never needed a replacement battery (I handed the phone down when I bought the 5. The 4 was used for nearly 6 years.

I have friends who love the SE so much they are constantly checking out Craig’s List to add a spare in case their SE dies.

They simply love the size of the device.

Mine recently died and I just purchased another. On Pre-paid services they can be purchased for $139.00 which is really unbeatable. Sometimes even less if Walmart runs a sale, I've gotten them for $99. They only activate on Straight Talk or Family Mobile services though but will usually unlock upon a request after 6 months.
