First of all, MobileMe is supposed to be functional for people that PAID Apple for this service. In fact it's supposed to be functional until June 30th, 2012. However as of today it's completely dysfunctional. Contacts, calendars, bookmarks fail to sync between a Mac running Snow Leopard and an iPhone with iOS 5.

So why don't we just convert to iCloud? BECAUSE WE CAN'T. As much as Apple would love to push Lion on everyone on the planet, not everyone is PERMITTED to upgrade to it for one reason or another (corporate policy, compatibility issues, etc). And, in Cupertino's infinite wisdom, there is NO SUPPORT for iCloud in Snow Leopard! This is utterly ABSURD! You give SL users no rational upgrade path to iCloud, AND you cripple the MobileMe service after you've stated in your very own web documents that it will remain available until June 30th 2012.

I'm beyond disgusted. I'm about to install a Windows Vista virtual machine because a LEGACY WINDOWS OS has iCloud support but an Apple operating system three dot-releases old does not!

I can't even complain about iCloud except the fact that I can't use it.

Anyone else run into a bug where in neither iCloud nor in iCal you cannot create calendars and reminder-types with the same name and color? For example a green calendar called "Work" and a green reminder-type called "Work"?
