and when i called they told me not to send the battery. Why the heck wouldn't they want the battery? I sent it in due to the random shutdowns that apple has recently acknowledged, plus a few other random issues. What if one of my problems was due to a faulty battery? They could never diagnose it if i didn't send it in. So i sent it in anyway. Now i must admit, i am a little nervous that i may not get my battery back. Anyone have any experience with this?


EDIT: Basically, im not trying to get anything out of this post. Just letting you all know that I can officially be added to the list of people that didn't have there problem resolved by applecare. The good news, they said if it still happens after my next repair, they'll just give me a brand new macbook (which will probably have RSD as well....but anyways.....).
 
I gave apple my whitebook excatly 2 weeks ago today, Applecare says the repair is on hold due to the fact that it needs a new heatsink and they don't have any. If my Macbook is still "on hold-part on order" by the afternoon I'm going to demand something or something, I'll have to think of something. I hope yours isn't gone as long as mine has been, Applecare said they were getting a shipment of heatsinks in today, but who knows.
 
Maybe they don't want the battery to explode in the mail. :D

**Edit** You've got a MacBook, no exploding batteries there. (That we have heard of!!)

Well, I should have my macbook back by tomorrow. Talk about a turnaround. I sent it in on thursday, they received, fixed, and sent it friday. And now its at a fedex location in the next town over. That was fast.
