I'm just curious if anyone knows if the 4850 ATI GPU in the i7 is infact the desktop variant or the mobile variant?

And, I've been reading about how it will be possible to connect your Xbox 360/PS3 into the iMac to use as a display, with this in mind, will it also be able to play the audio from its built in speakers from the PS3/Xbox 360?

These questions are kind of deal breakers for me, I'm a PC guy but I'm extremely impressed by the pricing/performance ratio on these things and thinking about making the switch permanantly if they are what I would like to hear . Just hoping I will be able to rid of my cluttered PC for this amazing all-in-one and watch my blu-ray's on it :D *fingers crossed*.

Also, anyone ran Crysis through Boot campt yet? I have an ATI4850 512MB on my current set up and it runs it beautifully on almost all full settings, however I understand Apple have been known to underclock some components in the past to reduce the heat output!

Thanks Again!

Hello to adress some of your questions I think the ati card is in fact the mobile version but Im not 100% on this. Regarding the audio when using a ps3/xbox etc through the imac you should be able to play the audio depending on what type of connection you use. When the adapter is released there will probably be a mini display to hdmi adapter which should enable you to hear the audio via your imac. Just to remind you there is not a compatible adapter to use the imac as a display for ps3/xbox right now but we should expect one in the near future. Hope this helps!

ATI 4850 is the mobile version but it's not bad, it's just underclocked desktop 4850 with same performance as desktop 4830.

I think it's impossible to connect PS3/X360 to iMac yet but when right adapters are available, it'll be
