On my marketplace thread where I had my iPP listed for sale, a discussion ensued about transferring monthly AppleCare and how/if that would work, since it is linked to your Apple ID payment. Some said that as soon as you removed the device from your list of devices, the AppleCare would cancel. I called Apple twice, and asked two separate people in AppleCare about it. Both said as long as payments continued to be made, the AppleCare would stay active (and I verified that this would be the case if the device was removed from my list and even associated with a different Apple ID - both said yes, it would stay active).
Fast forward to this morning, I was reading over the agreement online in detail, just to be sure the new owner of my iPP could have continued AppleCare, and I noticed that there are different agreements based on the date you purchased your AppleCare. For my dates, there is this information regarding transferring.
Just figured I'd share so people would be sure to look at the agreements based on their AppleCare purchase date instead of just the current agreement if wanting to sell something and maintain a monthly AppleCare plan.
