It started with an iPod, as it does for so many. The gateway drug! Then my desktop PC was replaced by a 2.53 MBP with 512meg video card. The wireless router quickly fell to 1TB Time Capsule superiority.
And now, finally, after years of being a Blackberry user, I have a 16gig 3GS.
I own a small business with a partner, and I must say, Mac's have been very good for running almost all aspects. And the iPhone, while only a few days old, is quickly proving to be a powerhouse for business applications (as well as the occasional game).
However, at the risk of being flamed, there were some things the Blackberry did better, or else I just haven't figured out how to do the setup on my iPhone.
Is there a way to have "profiles" like on a blackberry, where if I set it to quiet, all noises go to a certain level? Is there a way to set up different sounds for incoming emails from different accounts, and can the volume be set at one level for email, and another for phone? Can noises for everything but an incoming call be turned off?
Finally, and I know some will laugh or say it's not necessary, but for me, I really miss having an LED tell me when I missed a call, or when a new email came in. With the iPhone, even turning on a locked screen doesn't display this info, I actually have to unlock the phone.
Obviously there is no way to add an LED, but is it hypothetically possible (or does it exist) where an app can be created to turn a small corner of the screen into a pseudo LED that will stay lit when an email, or missed call, is on record?
All that to say, loving my Mac transition! Can't wait to see what is next!
Thanks all.
