I just switched to a pixel 9 pro xl and so far so good.
Congrats and that is a really nice phone. Enjoy your iPixel. I returned mine even though it was Google's best phone to date. I received $540 trade in for my Pixel 7 Pro from Google and i'm going to use that towards the iPixel 10 Pro XL next year.

I haven’t been on android for a while and all the adds are nuts
Go into the main settings screen / app and click on "network and internet." Scroll down and click on "private DNS." In this box select "private DNS provider hostname" and type dns.adguard.com. Press "save."

This will filter out almost all ads; my Google news feed is great now with virtually no ads, no pop ups. It'll be system-wide, so ads on internet browsers will be blocked too. Lifesaver for me on Android.

Also have the Pixel 9 XL, you'll love it.

I owned a pixel phone 📱 before. It is the best android 🤖 experience. It was one of my most favourite smartphones. I really liked the software experience. Enjoy your new pixel. 👍

Doing this gave me problems connecting to wifi.
I use personalDNSfilter app instead and it works great for me.
