Just to clear things up: About iPhone $100 Credit

So I bought my iPhone at a really random time. It was definitely not the first day it came out, nor did i buy it 14 days ago. I probably bought it after the iPhone came out for like 2-3 weeks? I just cant remember the date. Also I bought it at an AT&T store.

The other day, i called the Apple Retail store, asked the guy If i get any sort of store credit or refund and he said no. Is this right? I'm really confused about this whole ordeal.

Its not available yet, maybe in a week or so.
They'll let us know how and what to do in order to get the $100 gift card.

Everyone who bought an iPhone at anytime prior to the price reduction will get the refund in a week or so as stated above. You probably called before the $100 decision by Apple was made.

It's not an ordeal. It's a refund in the form of a store credit for which you are eligible. An announcement will be made next week regarding this. Perhaps they have a record of purchases / activations and these will be sent out automatically? That would be nifty...

Jobs said to check back next week. You know whether or not you ever bought an iPhone. If you did, then you are eligible for the rebate. If you don't need the money to pay the rent, then you can wait. You will have it soon enough.
