Hi Guys,

After much debate, I have taken the financial plunge and just now placed an order for the 32GB Ipad Wifi + 3G. I have had an iphone since launch day. My main debate on ordering it was whether or not to get the 3G or wifi only version. In the end I made the right choice for my life style!

I was about to say 'yayyy welcome to the club' when I realised I've not actually bought one myself yet! Welcome anyway! :D

Congrats. I did the same today. I figured it would be torture either waiting for lucky owners to check in or try and find one to play with within 100 miles of me. 64gb wifi for me.

What's the point of an iPhone and a 3G iPad?

One's a phone, one isn't.

I didn't say "what's the point of an iPhone and iPad". I guess people will waste their money however they can.

I too have an iPhone 3GS and have ordered an iPad 32G WiFi + 3G. I have different uses for them.

Apparently Steve J. thought that a lot of people who own iPhones would purchase iPads since he said in the announcement that because of the iPhone owners they have a few million people who already know how to use the iPad.

Where I work the head of the IT department who also owns an iPhone is getting an iPad.

Also congratulations Bob, you've made a wise choice.

I changed my mind enough times that my Credit Card company called me citing "Fraud" on my account. Apparently 4-5 Pre-Auth's in a few days was suspicious. I got a bigger than expected Paycheck though, so I am set this time around. ;)

Thanks!

I actually am the head of the IT Department where I work. I have been a windows system admin for the last 10 years. I find lately that at the end of the day, I just want something that works. I don't want to have to come home and fix my own computers just to get on the internet. I honestly don't see the need to tweak my home systems anymore.

You are choosing an iPad?! That's sooooo April 2010...

Seeing as it's not April yet, then I must be ahead of the curve in early adoption! ;)

On a more serious note. I own an iPhone and an iMac, the only laptop I have is my work laptop as mine was stolen from my car 5 months ago. I figure the iPad will complement my iMac very well.

Anyone who had to think about buying one instead of just ordering it has their life priorities wrong. :)

Congrats!

Considering the iPad's battery is better than my iPhone's, I rather use the iPad 3G to browse the web and do email instead of my iPhone 3GS.

I just pre-ordered the exact same model!! Looking forward to playing with one in the Apple store in a week, but I'll wait for mine in late April!:)
