Just Tried to Jailbreak 3.1.2. Not so easy.

Why does it take the Dev-Team forever to come up with something when this method already works?

Is this for OTB firmware or do you have to have a previously jailbroken phone?

Out of the box firmware. I installed the official 3.1.2 firmware and jailbroke it using the linked method.

But you don't get cydia so it's kinda pointless..... You need some sort of installer.

Oh… my bad guys… nevermind… looks like it's not jailbroken afterall. I just opened PhoneView to see the entire iPhone disk and it's only showing my Media folder.

It did go through the jailbreak process though… I wonder what it actually did.
