hey guys, so today i finally received my ssd and ram and decided to upgrade the poor thing in my living room (originally 160gb sata1 hitachi and 2gb ram) so i put inside the 4gb transcend ram and crucial m500 120gb.. i chose crucial because i have the infamous nvidia mcp79 controller, and it doesn't work as SATA2 with sand force drives, only sata1 (damn, nvidia!). Crucial has marvell controller so, fast forward, i installed everything and it's lovely! BUT... the old hdd was idling at 42C (i know, sata1 5400rpm slow drive) but hey, crucial stays at 49C.. And i don't know if this is normal but the old one changed the temp in real time if under load and stuff like that, the crucial shows me the same temp for minutes, then changing by -+1-2 degress (even after i launch blackmagic, it stays for a couple of minutes at the same temp, then suddenly decides to increase..) it just seams delayed.. Anyways, do you guys think it's a normal operating temp for the crucial m500? i have a 256gb samsung 840 in my iMac but the temp isn't showing up (2007 iMac) so i can't compare.. The mini is stacked and compressed inside (beautiful design, by the way) so it MUST be hotter, but ssd idling at 50C?
P.S. If you have questions regarding the installation and stuff like that on this mini model i will gladly follow you through it
