Not sure if every iPhone does this, but I just hit "Update" to 2.1, and after my iPhone was done, I was just messing around when I put my Cincinnati Bell SIM card in and, My phone was still unlocked without having to Quickpwn (was planning on doing it)
:)

Because the 2.1 update does not touch the Baseband. If the 2.1 update would have updated the baseband, then yes, you would be locked. However, it didn't hence you are still unlocked.

2.0.0 baseband is the same baseband as in 2.1.0

That is the 1st Gen iPhone for anyone thinking I might be referring to the 3G version.

Thanks for the response, i wish i had known about this before i decided to update. then i wouldn't have had to download Qwickpwn.:D
