After running Yosemite PB5 for a few days I was starting to get comfortable with it.
Until I discovered that Time Machine is still messed up, the backups appear to work as scheduled but the restore side of it is totally unworkable.
Like many other of Yosemite's broken features I'm sure my problem is not consistent across the board and others users will have different results.

Are you looking for help with your issue? Or maybe asking if other people are seeing the same thing? I'm not really seeing the point in this forum post.

If you just want to rant about pre-release software not working the way you had wanted, this may not be the correct setting.

What specific issues are you having with TM?

As mentioned in my opening post, restore appears to be faulty.
Excuse my cell-phone photo quality,(click on the photo for a better view) but as you can see on the right my backups go back to the 7th of Oct, yet the finder view shows no past history, hence I could not restore any files if I needed to.
Also the navigation arrows and Restore button are greyed out.

Very odd. Did you file a bug report? Please do so, as this can be considered a showstopper - TM should be one of the fundamentals of OS X that just works at release. Alot of people rely on TM for backups.

Last year, Mavericks TM was broken at 10.9.0, and remained mostly so through 10.9.5 - going back in time would make the windows go black, and often when entering TM, the Finder would redirect to your Home Folder no matter where you were on the computer. Very annoying. Yosemite appears to have (mostly) fixed that, but your issue is discouraging. I hope Apple gets TM completely tied together before launch, or at the very least, by 10.10.1.

I’m also having issues with Time Machine, it's really laggy and it has graphical bugs, sometimes I am even unable to jump to different dates back in time, it requires several attempts sometimes. I have a 4TB USB 3 drive connected, late 2013 15" rmbp.

I recorded my screen to show you guys.

Yeah, I have the same issue on my 13" cMBP (2011). Glad to know it's not just me. It seems like there's no difference between a rMBP and cMBP for this situation, which points to software as the problem. I've done a bug report on this, but it seems like Apple either had to hold off fixing it, or for whether reason, decided not to fix it.

Everything is still there; it's just a matter of access.

If you click on the mounted disk image, you'll see that everything is there. Also, everything shows in the Home Folder and in the HD (both under devices), and you can go back in time. Under Favorites, many folders are as you describe. You can see the current page, but not go backward in time. However, Applications sill show as usual and you can page back. I haven't tried to restore anything, so I can't comment on whether or not it works. I truly hope it does, but that is to be seen. This change in TM started for me when my disk became a Logical drive with a logical partition. I don't know if it's related to that or not: but, I suspect it is. Is your HD Logical? If not, then something else is causing it.

This got me curious so I tried it out. At first, I though that you were right, because I could not access any history beyond a week. Then I noticed that my TM icon said 'verifying backup', which took around 2 hours. After it finished, Time Machine worked like a charm. Maybe that is the issue you are having as well?

I have that too and I've sent bug report already.
Weird part is, screenshots (cmd + shift + 3) look normal despite the glitches.
