keep getting multiple notifications for the same text

For starters,I have it set to only inform me when the initial text comes in..but just now for example,same text,rings once then 3 min later rings again..How do I stop this?

As long as you have the Repeat Alert for Messages set to Never, you shouldn't be getting multiple notifications for the same text. As elementary as this may sound, I'd suggest powering the phone down and back up.

mine does that but i actually like it, sometimes i dont feel it in my pocket on the first ring

me neither,but my phone is next to me most of the time. so the double ring is not what i want,if i wanted it I would set it to do that...Im hoping these are just bugs that apple will fix..
