I want to use my iPhone as a VOIP over 3G phone, but whenever I turn the screen off the internet gets cut and I lose connectivity. Is there a Cydia app to stop this happening???

Cheers!

Insomnia works for this. It'll keep your wifi/3g connection active after the screen fades and locks.

There is also a toggle for SBSettings with Insomnia so that you can shut it on and off easily.. which I recommend hehe, leaving it on all the time will eat your battery.

This. It will drain your batter extremely fast if you don't have it off / your phone charging.

No faster than when you're using it :)

All Insomnia does is keep your phone from going into Sleep/Standby. So it stays active while it's running. Not a good "All day" solution. I use it whenever I'm SSHing to my phone or trying to connect to it with Netatalk and don't want it to sleep.

Also, having the power plugged in makes it stay awake automatically and powers the WIFI.
