Keep iPhoto Events when migrating to Photos?

After I migrate to Photos, my nicely organized Events from iPhoto are not preserved. I still have my iPhoto library. Is there any way to do this? Thanks.

I haven't been able to customise Photos Events like it was possible in iPhoto.

Given how limited Photos picture management capability is compared to iPhoto it might be better idea to keep using iPhoto and wait IF Apple improves Photos capability enough. Considering how bad iWork is when compared to 09 version I am not holding my breath...

I wonder if there is a good 3rd party program that will import from iPhoto...?

All your events are now listed in a folder in the side bar in Photos.
