As we all know, Facetime and Messages are both push notification compatible; that is, you can quit out of them and you still can be sent messages. Mail, on the other hand, doesn't seem to be. Is there a workaround for that?

That's what I have been doing, but I was hoping there was a more elegant solution than that. I imagine 10.8.1 will update Mail with that functionality, but one can only hope.
