I know there are alot of these but my situation is a bit different, so if your bored and want to give me your oppinion, please do! :)

I currently have the latest 12inch Powerbook, purchased it in Septemeber, i am not 100% positive if i am loving the macbook as much as i had loved the powerbook when i first saw it, but i do like all the little beneifts (isight, frontrow, WS) but am a bit disapointed with the integrated graphics..anywhoo

If i keep my powerbook, i will need to get the applecare soon which cost $258 (including 8% tax)..

If i get a macbook, i'd sell the 12inch pb ($900 on ebay?), and i'd get the midrange one $1296 (inclduing 8%Tax) so the difference would be around $400.. but keeping in mind that i could put off buying applecare for a year again, and applecare on the macbook is $60 cheaper...

I was also planing on purchasing a 1gig stick of ram + 19inch monitor for my 12inch 1.5ghz pb.. but i would also put that off for a year as well...

Thing is, the 12inch pb 1.5ghz was kind of a graduation present from my parents, and i am not exactly well of by any means so i really treasure it, take care of it like no other, and am really thankful that i was able to get it.

My orignal plan was to keep the 12inch powerbook untill i finish college (currently going to be a sophmore in the fall), and buy a new lappy once i'm done with school (kinda as a reward to myself, and the intel transition would be way beyond complete and worked out)..

So what you guys think? Keep PB (Not sure if parents would be upset, but i know i might be if i was a parent), or trade up for a macbook?

    I know this was a long post, so thank you for reading!

I should also mention, that i don't do much more than Use Adium, Toast, Itunes, Word, Some paint programs, Iphoto, safari.. i want to mess around with Idvd, and i want to play around with garageband jus to make some songs (nothing like actually getting a eqalizar or smthn),but just to see what the program is all about..

so i deffinetly do not do any processor intensive work imo....

Id just keep the powerbook and buy rev b or c of the macbook or mbp, thats what Im doing. I just bought my pb12 in february....its fast enough its stable and gets the job done..
