Hello,

I am a heavy Airpods 2 user. Pretty much whole day I have one of them in my ear. I own Pro's which I use only on the plane. I bought Gen 3 but they are also uncomfortable for me. Now I have one relatively new pair of AirPods 2 which work good and several old ones with various issues.

2 pairs have one of the microphones not working well, do they typically break or have some internal debris blocking them?

Also, one pair has decreased battery life and no longer giving me low battery warning, any way to fix that?

Today I made a full reset on those and cleaned them up, will see, anything else I can try?

How hard to pair same model air pods from different sets?

It’s not that hard to pair AirPods from different sets. You have to forget the device from your iPhone, add the new Left or Right that you want to use. Then pair.

Don't know about for life. But I plan to keep my AirPods 3 for at least 2 years. So I got Apple Care+. This way I can at least make sure the quality will be in good shape.

Its easy to pair multiple copies of AirPods versions. Ive am up to AirPods 2 #6. Don't think I will be able to keep these for life, as the battery life eventually makes them unusable.

I try to pick up a pair or two each time they go on sale. Even if I don't need them right away, eventually my current ones will die and need replacement.

I bought about 6 pairs of gen 2 so far. Is it common for one of the microphones to fail? One such pair still under warranty and I may take them to Apple.
