if you're trying to make it hot to see your temps (CPU only...doesn't stress GPU), you can try

yes > /dev/null

in a terminal window. If you want to stress both cores, you'll need to do this twice (2 terminal windows...that command once in each).

So why are you doing this?
Yeah, checking my max temp

--> mmmcheese: Got my MBP cause Apple were taking to long fixing my last rev. PB. Faster CPU (dual core + Intel), iSight, perfect screen, Boot Camp capable - free of charge. So all in all I'm happy, and don't see how I have the right to complain over a bit of heat. The whine though, thats a completely different story.

Just have to tell you guys how impressed I am with the "snappines" of the MBP, well Macs in general I guess. At 100% CPU usage still as fast as ever. A bit strange IMO. Multitasking really do work perfectly on a MAC :D

I don't get it........ people are doing all kinds of things to try and bring the heat down, why run it at full to see what the temp can get up to?

Mine is "perfect" as far as most people are concerned as well...except the "whine" which I've been trying to live with. The big problem I found is that it comes out the audio-out. Well, the other day, my trackpad button broke...so I called Apple, and mentioned both problems...and they are sending me a new machine. I'm pretty happy about the service. I probably wouldn't have complained about the problem by itself, but the broken mouse button gave me the opportunity to ask for a new machine.

Yeah, anyway, I have no complaints about Apple's service at all. And as a bonus, I get the 2.16GHz as a replacement for the 2.0GHz (not that I really care about the speed difference). Now I just hope my next machine doesn't have heat, "whine" or screen problems.
