I am having to manually hit the sync button in settings to get some of my messages synced to my iPhone, iPad and MBPro. Am I missing something as one of the great advantages of the Apple iOS is this should be done automatically.

What am I doing wrong?

Thanks. Went into my setting on my iPhone and for some reason forwarding was not turned on for my new MBPro!

Thanks Sir!

Same issue here. New iPad messages out of sync.

Forwarding on phone was turned off (maybe that’s the new default now?). I didn’t know there was a setting for that.

Thanks!

I have noticed that iMessages on my iPhone only sync to the cloud once a day around midnight.

The only issue I have between my 13P and my MBP is the persistent unread badge if I delete SMS on one device without reading it first. Only goes away if I manually sync on the other device.
Besides that all the messages are in sync and Text Forwarding is enabled by default.

Yeah, I'm no longer seeing the setting for Text Message Forwarding, but my SMS texts are still being forwarded to my iPad.
