I am using a 1.8 DC mini as a media pc. It's attached via DVI-HDMI cable to a Denon 3801. I usually just leave the mini on as there's no way to turn it back on after shutting down without walking up to it an pressing the button. I am running in 1366x768 (or whatever that is) and everything is fine. Whenever the Denon is powered off, the mini switches to 1280x768 mode. I lose my menu bar and just about lose my dock icons. Fortunately I can (and have to) open up preferences and put the resolution back. Unlike other preferences, displays has no 'lock' button to keep it from changing.
I though that I could put the mini to sleep (using the front row remote) and everything would be fine but it keeps waking up all by itself. I've disabled all the 'wake-up' triggers but the mini still has insomnia!
I'm guessing it's the loss of the signal from the Denon via HDMI that is triggering it.
Any ideas on putting the mini in a coma?
Thanks!
